the best green juice

What’s January without a reinvigorated passion for juicing? This one is super balanced and delicious. This recipe makes about a quart of juice without adding any water. If you are not planning to drink it all at once, wait to add the lemon until you are ready to drink it. Adding lemon from the beginning causes the juice to turn brown more quickly.

Ingredients:

2 heads romaine lettuce, stem removed

1 cucumber

2 granny smith apples

1 knob ginger

1/2 bunch parsley

1/2 lemon or to taste

How to:

Wash all produce thoroughly. Process through juicer. It’s helpful to add the ginger along with something that has more water content like the cucumber or apple. I find that you get a better yield that way. Add lemon to your taste, per glass. Enjoy!
